Citizenship Washington Focus Trip 2007

Take your 4-H experience to another level!

Take your 4-H experience to another level through the Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF), a 14 day trip including 6 days in Washington D.C. This is an opportunity for youth ages 15-18 to learn about the democratic process and their role as citizens while they experience our nation's capitol. Get the inside scoop about how government really works from prominent guest speakers. Youth will attend bill-writing workshops, a national issues forum, and mock elections and congressional sessions that prepare you for leadership now and in the future. The trip is an educational and fun experience! Youth will also tour national monuments and historical sites in numerous states along the way to and from D.C. Proceeds earned through fundraising opportunities will help fund portions or the entire trip's expenses for individuals. The trip will be June 5-18, 2007. The South Central CWF group based out of Clay/Adams/Webster couties is seeking more youth for the trip. If you're interested, contact Jenny Rees at the Clay County Extension office at 402-762-3644.
